The DeWalt DC825KB 18-volt NiMH compact cordless impact driver is a powerful tool that easily and efficiently drives home fastenings in tough material. Cordless impact drivers like this one work like a typical cordless drill until greater torque is needed. When high torque is required, an impact action automatically cuts in and applies up to 3,000 blows per minute--increasing the torque three-fold. Unlike a hammer drill, the bit doesn’t hammer in and out while rotating; instead, it maintains contact with the fastener. These machines are excellent at driving Tapcon screws into concrete when installing electrical service panels, as well driving hex-head sheet metal screws--for installing ductwork and metal roofing--drywall screws and deck screws.
The durable, frameless, high-speed motor of the DeWalt DC825KB compact cordless impact driver delivers up to 150 Nm of torque.
